What is the Hijacking Music Festival?

The Hijacking Music Festival is a one day event featuring some of Atlanta’s best forward thinking, brightest shining musicians and artists.

This years theme is GLOW. Your GLOW is that thing burning inside you that makes you wake up each and every day to live life and follow your passions.

Our goal is for this to be more than just another music festival, we want it to be an experience that inspires individuals to find what it is that is glowing inside them, and make it shine!

What is Hijacking Music?

Hijacking Music is a collective of musicians and artists who have united to help each other promote and facilitate creative music and art.

We hold a high standard for quality in everything that we do, from the artists we promote, to the venues we book at, the sponsors we work with, and all of the internal/external operations required to keep the ship sailing.

One of our main goals is to continue to offer and facilitate resources and support to artists we believe in, to help them get their art and name out there. If they need a recording studio, accounting assistance, web development, social media management, video, photo, live sound, fliers, merchandise, promotion, etc., we are set up to assist them ourselves or through partners.

Hijacking Music officially got started back in early 2008 and has been growing strong since then. By taking a stand and working to increase the exposure of artists who are working hard and inspiring others around them, we are helping to support an incredible community.

Over the years we have been putting on small music and arts shows around town, bringing in touring bands, touring together, and in 2010 we held our first Hijacking Music Festival.

What is the Goat Farm?

The Goat Farm Arts Center is one of the largest visual & performing arts centers in Atlanta. What was once an underutilized, mostly abandoned, historic site with no more than 20 artist studios went through a major expansion and was given new form in 2009.

Part of the expansion opened up 20,000 square feet dedicated to 4 new performance and exhibition halls and spaces. The Center now hosts classical & contemporary music concerts, theater performances, film screenings, contemporary dance performances and art exhibitions.

Also newly added, a cafe/library, an on-site organic farm, an education center, a 5000 square foot sprung floor for contemporary dance and newly built creative studios now occupied by more than 300 artists.
